How To Use Guitar Maps Scale Patterns

These scale patterns are very easy to use, just use the Guitar map that is the same key as the root note of the song or riff you want to play a solo with. Example: If the song is in the key of C# Minor use the C# Minor chart and it shows you exactly what notes you can play on the fret board for a guitar lead or solo. At first it is easier to start your lead on the root note and go from there. Example: If the song is in C# minor start your lead on the C# anywhere on the fret board and use the chart to show you what notes you can play to make it sound good. Major guitar scale patterns work great for Pop, Rock and Country while Minor guitar scales are great for Metal and Blues. Universal guitar scales usually work for both major and minor keys but remember to use the chart that is the same as the root note of the song. Maps are the most important thing when going somewhere you have never been before. This applies to the guitar fret board as well. Study and memorize the scale patterns so you will always know where you're going.
